Anyone knows if it is possible to add WiFi hardware and have an equivalent of XG nnnW boxes - those with WiFi built-in ?

No, it is not unless it is a Sophos wifi card.

Is it a guess or you have read it somewhere in the Sophos documentation ? I haven't seen WiFi cards in Sophos product portfolio, but I haven't search for it either.
