PPPOE connection failing.

 I have an XG105W in a small office with 6 people.  When 2 or 3 are in the office everything seems to work fine, but when everyone begins to get on the internet (usually first thing in the morning) I lose the connection between the XG and DSL modem.  I can log into the admin gui and the interface says "connecting", but it will not connect until I power cycle the DSL modem.  Then everything seems to work fine most of the day.  The log says "Port2: Disconnect PPPoE due to LCP timeout"  Any ideas?  Also I might mention that I tried to set LCP timeout using just the defaults LCP echo and LCP failure, but after I save those changes and go back into the settings it looks like they were not changed.

    Previous comment did not totally solve this problem. I'm still getting dropped connections between XG box and DSL modem. Although it is not as bad as before. I see the most drops when user bandwidth goes up. This is a very small office with only 5 people using ATT DSL. When everyone initially arrives in the morning and starts checking emails and logging into websites, The connection drops. This XG 105 is twice as powerful as our last unit, so I don't see that as the issue. I hooked the old Netgear Prosecure box back up for few days and no drops. It has to be some configuration I've done or not done?

    No, I didn't open a ticket.  Here is what has happened so far.  My initial set up I had the DSL modem set up with "PPP on Computer".  XG box would lose connection between modem and XG firewall.  I could see it in the log when it started happening.  I changed the setting to "PPP on modem" and set XG up as DHCP.  That worked better, but still had drops.  The drops went from 2-3 per day to 2-3 per week.  In both cases all I had to do was reset the DSL modem.  Resetting the XG alone did not solve the problem, but resetting the DSL modem alone did solve it at least for a while.  Finally I set the DSL Modem to "Bridge Mode" and configured the XG appropriately.  Now I've gone to only have a drop once every 20-30 days.

    One more thing that seems funny and may not be related, but it sure seems to be.  If I set the Malware Scanning "On" using the default Network Policy the problem gets worse.  I have to create a User Policy and then turn Malware Scanning on there for it to work.
