Frage zur Failover Funktion in Version 7.4

Hallo, ich hatte mir am Freitag den Webvortrag von Astaro über die neue Version angeschaut, jetzt habe ich noch eine Frage zur Failover Funktion.

Bisher war es so, dass man nur das Failover auf eine Internetverbindung machen konnte. Ist jetzt folgendes möglich?

Situation:

Es sind zwei Standorte (unterschiedliche Adressräume) vorhanden, jeweils mit einer Astaro als Netzabschluß. Die beiden Netze sind verbunden über eine EthernetConnect Leitung. (Technisch gesehen also eine Netzwerkverbindung, direkte Leitung von A nach B über ein Netzwerkinterface, also kein VPN oder Internet...)........

Für diese Verbindung möchte ich eine Backupverbindung über DSL realisieren. Geht das in der neuen Version über DSL bzw. VPN (feste IPs sind natürlich vorhanden)?

    WAN Link Balancing and Multipathing are new on the Astaro, and I have yet to play with them, so I'm not sure what all of the implications of my suggestion might be...

    Try treating the direct connection to the other location as just another WAN connection.  Put the two into 'Uplink Balancing' and establish the VPN over the combined links.  Create Multipath rules that prefer traffic to the other site via the direct connection and traffic to the rest of the Internet through the WAN connection.

    Whatever is your solution, I hope you will document it so it can be used an example for the rest of us.

    PS In order to avoid IP address conflicts, you will need to remove from both locations any existing routes.

    Hi, danke für deinen Beitrag, ich warte auf die Astaro Antwort. Ich kann hier schlecht über längeren Zeitraum testen da dies nur in der Produktivumgebung möglich wäre anscheinend soll es ja nicht funktionieren......
