Emby/ Plex behind WAF HTTPS slower performance?

I am trying to host Emby server behind WAF with HTTPS configured.  I am able to access the server successfully, but when it comes to playback, it doesn't want to start playing.  It will seem like it's buffering, with an image of loading, but never starts to play the movie.  

In contrast, the same Emby server accessed with open ports, not behind WAF, plays the video almost instantly, without issue.  I've tested this several times, so I know it's not just a coincidence.

    Hello!

    Can you please enable the "Disable compression support" checkbox and try to play the video again?

    There's an issue where the WAF will constantly buffer the video and then send it compressed for the client. (Enabling this checkbox should fix your issue.)

    Hi!  Unable to test now since I deleted it out of frustration :-) But I don't mind doing it again.

    Though I haven't enabled any protection policies yet.
