inbound email is being deffered or rejected

hi,

i have XGS2100 ver 19.5 , from last few days facing issue that inbound emails are being rejected. when i see in mail spool then  mail is shown as rejected with following msg.

R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp defer (110): connection timed out H=192.168.20.5[192.168.20.5]:25 l=[172.16.254.1]:58916 DT=15s

192.168.20.5 is ip of mail server

172.16.254.1 is ip of sophos.

please advise.

    thanks.

    in this KB it is written that "The issue here is due to remote server is not responding" in my case i am receving server and sending/remote server is some other domain. if email is landed over to firewall then firewall still will contact to sending /remote server??
