Sophos Connect check_remote_availability & WAN user portal

Planning roll out of Sophos Connect 2.2 for an SSL VPN against an XGS135, v19.5.1 MR1.

Description of check_remote_availability in the .pro file is vague in Provisioning file - Sophos Firewall: "Performs a remote availability check at connection startup to eliminate unresponsive clients." Availability of what??

Poking around here, I've deduced that it's checking for availability of the User Portal to import the .ovpn.

User portal will be available on the LAN but not the WAN, so I gather I will set this to True. Users will have to install while on the LAN; that will work for us.

Is my understanding of this setting correct?

And speaking of vague documentation, this time picking on Sophos Connect: Command line interface (CLI) guide, does SCCLI import .pro files, .ovpn files, or both?
