Hi everyone,
I have a big problem with wifi RADIUS and Apple devices.
I am using SG330 firewall and APX530 access points, all with the newest Firmware.
The problem is this:
All of our Apple devices (iPads and iPhones) looses their connection to the wifi network after locking them (or closing the display cover for the iPads) and moving around in the building.
If you moved in the building and unlock the device, the SSID is still seen but its not connected. You have to manually click on the network again in order to reconnect the device.
If you do the same with a Windows laptop/Android device, the connection will stay the whole time and there are no issues with the wifi connection, so it cant be the wifi coverage.
Also the problem only occurs with RADUIS wifi, if we are using an SSID with pre-shared key everything works fine, as well as the Apple devices.
For the Apple devices private wifi-address is disabled, so the devices have always the same MAC-address. Also always on the newest iOS/iPadOS.
The RADUIS-wifi settings are the following:
Encrypion: WPA2/WPA Enterprise
Client traffic: Bridge to VLAN
Bridge to VLAN ID: xxx
Client VLAN ID: Static
Frequency band: 2.4 and 5 GHz
Algorithm: AES
Client isolation: disabled
Hide SSID: no
U-APSD: disabled
Fast transition: enabled
I've tested dyn. Channel for the access points, but still got the same issue. Also tested only using 5 GHz, but it even got worse.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Or what else we can try to avoid this issue? I am grateful for any kind of ideas.
Best Regards
Adrian
