Connection bewteen two sophos that share a LAN segment

Hello, hope all of you are ok.

I need help with something. I have 2 sophos, XG310 and XG210, on firmware 19.5.0. Both are in a buildings complex and share a LAN segment. One has GW 10.10.10.1, now Sophos 1 and the other one has GW 10.10.10.2 now Sophos 2 and both have others LANs on their own.

So, now i need to access from Sophos 1 LAN 192.168.1.1 to Sophos 2 LAN 192.168.2.1.

I was thinking on doing a IPsec VPN site to site but that needs to go by WAN and going through LAN is obviously faster.

I need advice on how to do that.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Hi Claudio,

    Thank you for reaching out to Sophos Community.

    You may try the following setup for your network as refer to the following  Connect Two Sophos Firewall via lan connection

    Add the IP Range of Eth on both Firewalls

    XG310=192.168.2.0

    XG210=192.168.1.0

    Add a default gateway in the Static Route

    XG310=192.168.1.1

    XG210=192.168.2.1

    Add Lan IP in FW1 as a gateway in the Static route in FW2

    Add Lan IP in FW2 as a gateway in the Static route in FW1

    Create an FW rule to allow 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.2.0
