Purge SSL Certs from cache using Frontend

Continuing on the discussion below:

Is there an easy way to do this from front end? This has become a common occurrence now, with the latest incident involving Google's certs.

The given workaround requires usage of ssh, whereas, there could be a simple page on frontend where we would enter a domain/subdomain name and hit a button to clear the cached cert.

  • A better option would be to:

    1. Not cache invalid ssl certs

    2. Automatically purge ssl certs from cache once they are replaced on server

    3. Automatically purge ssl certs when they expire

This would avoid manual intervention altogether (at least for the cases I know).
