Routing 2nd Public IP to another router

Hi

We have a fibre link from our ISP with a static IP and a secondary / extra range of public IPs.

Public IP: 100.100.100.62 (numbers made up) with GW 100.100.100.61 - This is the primary IP we use.

We also have a set of secondary public IPs on: 100.100.101.216/29

We have configured the WAN link on port 2 and have added the secondary IPs as an alias on port 2.

That works ok, but isn't what we need.

We would really like to route / terminate that secondary IP range to a secondary router, so it can think it is on a public IP and the Sophos does not exist.

I know that ISPs somehow setup routers in such a way, but I have no idea how I would do this with a Sophos.

In short: WAN link has multiple public IPs, Sophos router to split the traffic, so the second range is not being touched.

Any guidance much appreciated!

Thanks

Felix

We use an XGS126 (SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1-Build365).

  • You need to have a Network Bridge to get this running. Bridge your WAN interface with your LAN Interface. Then setup the IPs and WAN etc. on this bridge. Now you can setup the service behind the network with the same IP like WAN.

This should essentially work for your setup.
