XGS 2100 multiple PPPoE connections through same WAN cable.

Hello.

I have 5 different PPPOE accounts from my ISP ..

ISP gave me one fiber modem with Ethernet cable out of it ...

I was able to start one PPPoE session without any trouble, but I don't know how to start several sessions on one port. Adding an alias on the port does not help because there is no way to create a PPPoE session.

ISP support told me to put a switch behind the modem to split the connection into 5 ETH ports.

The problem is that I only have 2 ETH ports free on my XGS. Does Sophos have the ability to create multiple PPPoE sessions on one physical ETH port?

  • Hi,

the ISP suggestion seems to lack details eg is the connection a number of VLANs, if so then you can set up vlans on your WAN interface?
