Checksum verification for Sophos XG Home (.ISO)?

Does Sophos provide any type of checksum verification for the downloads? This would be a way to make sure the download was not corrupted or altered. It's not necessary but something that be should be done regardless.

  • Hi Alan,

I think we need to clear up a couple of misunderstandings.

1/. the licence is a configuration file that permits you to operate the software

2/. the SFOS (XG ISO) is the same software that a business would download to build their own XG on their own hardware.

3/. what you are  looking for is a checksum verification on the ISO rather than the licence download.

4/. if the licence download was corrupted it would not install.

  • I ask because a Sophos rep provided a checksum of the XG v17 in another thread after a user asked and said it would be added to the sophos ideas page, so I was just curious why this isn't standard practice yet.
