I have two connections from the same ISP that I would like to connect to my XG firewall and have both actively function. However as soon as both interfaces are connected, one goes down and inactive. Is there any way to have two WAN connections to the same network segment?

Thank you for reaching out to the community, no but you can configure aliases if you have a subnet from the same network on one interfaces:
