Google Meet Issues

Hi All,

Spent weeks with "support" to get Google Meet recordings to reliably work but haven't got anywhere, the final straw for me was after nearly 20 hours across multiple phone calls they asked me to reboot the firewall, despite a reboot being carried out the week prior following a firmware update.

Issue: Google Meet cuts off saying network error/issue

We have setup our XG with the firewall rules required from Google, including any recommended rules. When we witness traffic in log viewer on Web Filter, traffic will hit the correct rule some of the time and the remainder of the time it will miss that rule and use the "normal" staff access rule which blocks the traffic (as its going to IPs on non-standard ports). Firewall traffic seems to hit the correct rule reliably.

We have the same problem with other endpoints (its crippling some of our courses, those who need to use Unreal, etc.), but we have workarounds for them.

Does anyone have Google Meet recordings working reliably with web filter and web proxy (not DPI engine). I've tried every conceivable combination of checkboxes, set App control, web policy to none for Google Meet IPs/ports and it's not working reliably. We will be replacing Sophos in the coming months, but I could do with a solution until then.
