 you will need to enable ips, lan to wan to assist with identificati9n process.

 You may also need to tweak application filter parameters with the help of below KBA: 
 https://community.sophos.com/sophos-xg-firewall/f/recommended-reads/119051/xg-firewall-application-filter-recommended-settings-for-better-application-detection 
 If the application is still not blocking, we suggest raising the support case wherein we need to collect the IPS debug logs and PCAP while connecting the application.
