XG SSL VPN change precedence order of WAN IPs - update config file for Sophos User Portal, instead of manually editing file after download

Hello,

XG210 (SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1-Build365)

I setup an SSL VPN profile, while using a backup/failover IP (so I could configure remotely)

Now, each time I download the config file, it chooses to use failover IP instead of the main WAN IP.

The only way I've fixed it is by editing the .ovpn file with WordPad and changing the order myself.

I would like to fix the download>config file so it correctly knows the order of WAN 1 over backup WAN2.

Is this even possible? Is the file a one-off for download?

I'd like to not have to delete the SSL VPN profile and start over, and then have to re-connect all users etc.

Thanks, hope there is solution, I don't mind if Support needs to edit the SSL file from SSH ;)

  • Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for a more corrective solution, but I can manage and edit the files.

Does seem sort of like a workaround versus a fix.

For reference, is it because I configured the SSL profile while using the fail over IP address, that it's top precedence?

    Thanks
