Weird Issue Accessing Netgear Router Web Interface

Hello World,

I am running Sophos SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1-Build365

I have a strange issue. I have a separate network for wireless. 10.1.1.1 and another network for my LAN 10.2.1.1

I can ping every device from each network. However, when I attempt to access the router's interface on 10.1.1.2 from 10.2.1.100 it doesn't work. I receive certificate errors and then no response errors from the browser.

The traffic is being allowed and accepted by the firewall and the router.

But still I'm unable to connect to the web interface.

If I take the same laptop and same browser and connect to the wireless network I have no issue at all accessing the web interface.

What could possibly be the issue here?

Thanks for all responses

  • Hi,

you are probably connected to the WAN interface of the router?

  • Hello @rfcat_vk

Per the document from a previous post a long time ago it said to connect to the LAN interface of the router when running this setup. I'm currently connected to LAN port 1.

It's weird because I can ping it and everything. When I connect to it from a different network it keeps giving me certificate errors and doesn't connect.
