Sophos Firewall Random Reboot an interface Down/UP

Hi

I would like to identify the cause of the following problems with a FW XGS 126:

Problem 1
LAN port 2 is down for about 5 minutes and then comes back up.
This happens 2 or 3 times a day.

-The network cables have been changed, no solution.
Changed the switch where LAN port 3 is connected to, no solution.

Problem 2
The FW apparently reboots as in the system events I see the following: Appliance started successfully. this happens every 1 or 2 days.

This is the configuration of the interfaces:

Port 2 Wifi
Port 3 LAN
Port 4 WAN1
Port 5 WAN2

The equipment is new and was installed earlier this month, but I could not detect what could be causing the problems mentioned above.
Is there a log in the firewall that I can check to have a clue if it is a hardware or software failure?

  • Hi Ruben Carreño Escalona Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos community team. I would suggest opening a support case investigation for both issues to get it concluded. For auto reboot issues if the device has generated any kernel dump during the auto reboot time then the support team will review and will check it further. For the Interface up-down issues, you may check syslog.log around the issue time to confirm any error logs and may check #ifconfig output to see an error or drop getting increased or not on Port2.
