Show where object is in use

Dear all,

in the past on the UTM I had the option to see, where a network object (host, network, etc.) was in use.
Is there a possibility to acheive the same on the XG ?
I want to to some housekeeping and delete some network objects; but before I do so, it would be nice to know, deletion will not cause me any troubles.
Any help is appreciated.

Regards
ranX

  • @ Lu CarToni:
yes, this was the workaraound LHerzog already pointed to.
I call it a "workaround" as the UTM has proven years ago, this job can be done better !

    And no - it's not a "1 minute job".
My firewall UI stays unresponsible for about 5 Minutes until the export completes.
Including searching the XML I would more call it a "10 minute job" ...

    @Vivek Jagad:
    huh - wow !
I appreciate such "customer friendly" processes.
Sophos has an open ear for the customers ... after they ran 1 mile, made 10 salto mortale and then jumped through a burning ring ...
What you describe is another firewall - which perfectly protects you Sophos guys from customer requests ...
    Shame on you !

  • I would disagree. I see SFOS as a security product. The focus is to protect customer. The highest priority of the firewall would be to give insights in attack vectors, which SFOS does. Next are feature, currently not possible. Then features which are possible with a leap. But there are plans to integrate this feature in the future.
