I would suggest re-imaging the firewall with a software ISO and NOT a hardware ISO and then use the home license serial number

When I tried installing the software ISO it gave me an error and wouldn't allow me to install. Is there a way around this?

I've managed to install SW.iso on XG 135, but right now i have Problem with LAN links.

Only 2 out off 9 are seems to be working.

LAN 1 port is now LAN 5 and WAN is LAN 6.
The others LAN have no link at all.

what can i do? i need minimum 4 LANs for my 4 rooms in my home setup.

All of your LAN links are working. But you are correct, they are now backwards and if you need to restore from a backup for whatever reason they will change again from my experience. You will need to take the time to map them out to see what links in the GUI are actually mapped to the link numbers on the XG135 appliance. It only took me about 5mins but it was weird at first. 

Try plugging a live cable into each port, one at a time, wait for about a minute to see if it comes alive.

then look at the gui to see which port it is.

unfortunately only 2 ports are available ( 5 and 6) and working fine.

Other lan ports are dead.  

If i load orginal firmeware on in all lan ports are working fine. 

In gui I have opened all land ports but still no link.

I have already tried your method but there are still dead. No link or whatsoever.

When you say original firmware you mean the HW firmware?

Yes, when I use HW firmware all LAN ports are Online and working correctly, but there is my old Company license on.


I tried reinstalling the system  with all ports connected to end devices, but only 2 out of 8 are working when XG home version is installed.

When u restart XG 135 u can see all ports online till firmware is being load. After that, only 2 are still alive.

Please post a copy of your network interface page.

Erasing all Partitions on the SSD didn't work. the Installer always shows to use a hardware iso?

the issue you are highlighting is because you have not erased the disk completely, there is still a sector or two with Sophos information in it. What application did you use to erase the disk, you will need a linux formatter, MS does not completely erase the disk.

I used gparted live and eared everything, created a fat32 partition, tried it with a blank ext4. But still the same problem.

Could it be that the Version 19.0.1 Installer is more smart?

the ultimate test is to use a new disk. I assume you are using the SFOS installer?

I managed it to install the Image. I flashed a old Software 16.x and then i was able to put in the 19.0.1 Firmware, it updates, shows as Sophos SW Firmware. Now i only have the issue that the Firewall cant contact the Server
