  • Hi Kent,

I was going to report the same problem with http:/www.bom.gov.au which was working fine yesterday. I noticed the firewall had a bunch of pattern updates dated 7th and 8th October. I have underlined those changed since I last accessed the site.

With the aforementioned site, the block message is a little suspicious to me.

The requested content could not be scanned for malware. It may be corrupted or encrypted.

As it is a http connection, no encryption is involved.

While our Bureau of Meteorology do have a https site, there is still a lot of detail on the http site I regularly view.

Do i have to add this site as an exception in the rules?

I am tempted to say this is another not benefit of central management. I am not using Sophos Central, but maybe I have to turn of automatic pattern updates as well now.

My XG-115 is still on SFOS 19.0.0 GA-Build317 as I am waiting to see what the cost of paid support will be.

    Jon

  • There was an issue with an AV pattern update. A new pattern has been released to fix it, so updating to the latest AV pattern should resolve this issue.

  • Thanks! BOM is now accessible.
