Configure lan & wan interfaces on Bridge port to work with Ubiquity Dream Machine pro

Hi all,

setup is router -> Firewall -> Ubiquity dream machine.

XGS2100 is configured in gateway mode (need to use SSL VPN), wan cable to port2, lan cable to (F1), lan cable is connected to an Ubiquity Dream Machine PRO.

In the F1port there are configured VLANs also; is it possible to bind wan and lan interfaces on this bridge interface to connect to Ubiquity Dream Machine PRO so this machine can release DHCP to the network?

Thank you

  • Does the dream machine do any filtering or just pass traffic straight through?
if you turn the Nat off in the dream machine you can use the xgs in traditional mode.

  • Dream Machine just pass traffic straight through, we'll disable any filtering 'cause there will be XGS.

At the moment WAN goes into dream machine, customer would to insert XGS between main router and dream machine to better control filtering.

At this point WAN will be connected to XGS and dream machine to XGS, I wonder ho can I connect and configure these on a bridge interface or not?

  • Hi,

is there any reason why you want to put the XGS in bridge mode, I find routing mode easier to debug.

  • Hi, nope I deployed in gw mode 'cause customer wants to use SSL VPN, and created a bridge interface with lan/wan port to try if they're work together, but I don't know if is correct and if it will work.
