How do I use extra ports of firewall as another LAN port?

XG 135 have 8 ports.  I use 1 for LAN (port1), WAN1 (port2) and WAN2 (port3).  I have excess 5 ports.  LAN has Vlans IDs 20 and 30.  Default DHCP is on LAN port.  I want to use excess ports as LAN ports, that also get their IP from Default DHCP.  How do I do this?

By assigning a port as LAN, it asks for an IP Address.  I use 192.168.1.1 on LAN (port1).  Should I assign 1 here?  Or DHCP?  I tried assigning 192.168.1.2 to this new port, and I can ping it from my desktop.  But devices plugged into this new port doesn't get an IP address.

Please share how to do this.

  • You could build a bridge with those additional ports. You go to network/LAN (port1) and add one ore more (free) ports to be part of an "ethernet bridge".
