Mesh network - Internet performance degradation

Some results for you.

My internet connection is 50/18 (54/19)

mesh 2.4 ghz 

the W10,

connects as  144/144

speed test result 12/6 

Next test will be using the 5ghz SSID.

5ghz SSID from there same APX120

w10

connects at 866/866

speed test 12/6

The speed test results are basically(within a meg or two) the same as when I connected to the root APX120.

Corrected connection speed using the 5ghz SSID. There was a configuration issue with the mesh APX. The new configuration did not change the throughput.

Thanks ian. I guess you have some configuration error. In my case, I am getting exactly half of the speed connection, as described here:

Update :- the mesh connects at 135mb/s.

More I tweak according to the document the worse the performance becomes.

This is why I moved away from the APX120.

I have swapped the locations of the APXs around. Using the root APX120 I get 2.4 38/17 using the 5.0 I get 45/18.

Next trick is to move the w10 PC into the room with the mesh APX.

Thanks Ian. It seems that you got almost the full internet speed when 5 Ghz is used. Is that one used for mesh or for client SSID?

I move the test PC to the same room as the mesh apx120. The results are

Mesh only broadcasting 

2.4ghz SSID 16/16

5ghz SSID 29/17

Mesh and root broadcasting

2.4ghz SSID 14/13

5ghz SSID 21/19

All tests done through the mesh APX120.

My link speed is nominally 50/18 it has QOS applied so 47 download would be max.

Ok. So, I do not understand how did you get 45/18 previously. Just to clarify: are you using different frequency for mesh and client SSID?

Previously I was connected to the root apx120 when testing.
