Sophos XG v19 - Optimizing Zoom, Ms teams and Webex calls…

Question

Hello Team, 
 I get 100Mbps of internet bandwidth from my ISP but I still experience bad Microsoft teams call quality during meetings. 
 I believe there are ways I can optimize/prioritize zoom/teams/webex calls to improve performance on my XG. 
 please anyone with idea?

Hello humane jard , Thank you for reaching out to the community, you can use SD-WAN policy routing: User and application-based SD-WAN routes: https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/18.5/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/Routing/SDWANPolicyRouting/RoutingSDWANPolicyRoutingUserApplication/index.html Additionally, UDP time-out value from the command line interface (CLI), choose option 4. Device Console and do as follows:

Type: show advanced-firewall 
 The output shows the current UDP time-out value next to UDP timeout stream .

Type: set advanced-firewall udp-timeout-stream 300 
 This command increases the UDP time-out to 150 seconds. If your provider recommends a different value, use that.

We had a similar issue. Teams worked but the quality was very poor. 
 Make sure you have destination ports UDP 3478-3481 open on your firewall. If you don't, Teams falls back to 443, which works, but really badly. This alone fixed our issue but we also applied a 'Shape traffic' QoS rule of 'VoIP Guarantee' for good measure.
