Two ISP one Sophos

hello,

I have one ISP I am using which is a dedicated 30/30mbps but the speed connection is really poor so I just want to use another ISP which will give me a 10/10 dedicated internet connection. So what I want to ask is that can I merge both the ISP's connection and get a 40 Mbps dedicated connection and if yes what configuration do I need to do in the Sophos.

  • Hello,

nice idea, but this is /technicaly) not possible, because of the routing each provider does for its own infrastructure. The route of ISP one simply does not know how to handle traffic not detined for him and ice versa. What you can do is using both lines in parallel, maybe for different types of traffic. Have a look at the multipath rules for this.

If you don't get any further, come back and ask us here.

Mit freundlichem Gruß, best regards from Germany,

  • Namaste Kaeyana,

I've moved your thread to the Sophos Firewall (XG) Community.

You can't merge two ISP's connections, but you can balance traffic between them.
