Combining Multiple Ports as a Single interface

Can we combine two interfaces of the firewall and assign them a single IP.

I need to connect my Sophos to an existing network in such a way that both the combined ports must extend network on both ends.

eg : I have a network in 192.168.0.0/16.

now I have 3 Sophos firewalls and I want to connect them in this network with ip's 192.168.10.1/16, 192.168.20.1/16, 192.168.30.116.

how can I achieve this as I am unable to assign two interfaces with same network ip's?

  • It seems like the issue of multiple firewalls is completely distinct from one of those firewalls having two ports connected to the same subnet, so I would remove any reference to multiple firewalls. It doesn't seem to make any sense to have multiple firewalls on the same network, unless you're doing High Availability, but that's your choice.

So you want a single firewall to have two ports on the same subnet? What are you wanting to accomplish with this? That makes a difference what you'd need to do.
