Sophos Connect provisioning file

Hello everyone,
I'm using Sophos XGS2300 with the latest firmware build SFOS 19.0.0 GA-Build317 and I ran into a problem with the Sophos Connect Provisioning file.
I'm going for a IPsec remote access VPN and I would like to ask for two things. I would like to know if there is some way to keep the provisioning file in the import folder.
I went through quite a few forums and I know the  provisioning file is supposed to "disappear" after it's imported but is there any way to keep it in the import file
or somewhere else?
Another thing which I'm having trouble with is the automatic configuration import. Whenever I change the IPsec remote access VPN configuration and click apply,
I expect the connection in Sophos Connect Client to auto update but it doesn't. There's a chance I didn't understand how it actually works and it would be really helpful
if someone could explain it to me since I couln't find anything about anyone having issue with this.

Regards,
Fellow Sophos User

As far as I know, there is no way to keep the file there. The configuration is stored in an internal store of the application. You might can export it with the CLI. You can find the documentation here: Sophos Connect: Command line interface (CLI) guide

You mean, that all clients do the policy update, once you change something on the appliance? This is not possible at the moment. You need to run a manual "update policy" on each client.

FYI: the latest firmware is SFOS 19.0 MR1-Build365. Its not yet shown on all appliances :)

  • I see, I thought it would be like that but I wasn't fully sure.
    Thank you
