DHCP request ignored for one device

I've just moved a few devices onto a different VLAN. Previously they were issued DHCP addresses from a Microsoft DHCP server, but on the new VLAN the Sophos XG appliance is issuing DHCP requests.

Of the 4 devices I moved, 3 of the devices work fine, but Sophos appears to simply ignore the 4th. No NAK or anything, it just ignores it. There was nothing special about the Microsoft DHCP server config.

This is the DHCP discover packet as captured by tcpdump (hopefully not too much info redacted):

Any idea why Sophos is ignoring this?

Thanks

James

  • It turns out I had a static DHCP reservation on another DHCP server on the Sophos for that device, which is what caused Sophos to ignore it on the new network.

    All fixed now.
