• As storage is limited on the Sophos Firewall and can fill up if the log amount it receives is very high, it is directly proportionate to the amount of logs the device generates.
• For some DB tables, the smallest amount of data retention supported is one month. If data get filled up before that, there is no option other than deleting data using the manual purge option in the report setting.
• To get more storage space, it is recommended to use Central Firewall Reporting and stop reporting on the box.

you need to change the ageing of the log reports on the XG. Try system services -> log settings and Reports -> customer settings -> data management.

I set the retention period to 1 month for everything and connected the fw to the sophos central, but the problem not solved, I need to manually purbe, if not the mail proxy stops working.

Manually flushing the reports takes up to 24 hours. So start the report flushing and wait one day. Check the reporting data base again. 

If I flush it manually it works, but that is not a solution, to flush it every 2 weeks. And it needs to restart for the flush which is also not applicable.

You should create a support case, to find the root cause of your issue. It should not increase this fast. 

If you have setup reporting on central then you can disable all on board reporting, this assumes you have a paid central account so you can receive email reports from it.
