Sophos Connect - Internet Explorer

Hello Sophos community,

we are encountering the "issue" that when clicking on the "help" or "open vpn-protocol" button in Sophos Connect (regardless if 2.1.20 or 2.2.75) the result is displayed in the deprecated Internet Explorer. Same issue on fully patched Windows 10 or 11 systems.

Internet Explorer is neither set as the default application for browsing nor set as the default application for any specific data type. 

I assume that in Sophos Connect it is somehow "hard-coded" into the application to react to this kind of user requests by opening/displaying the information in internet explorer. Can anybody recreate this issue or does Sophos Connect behave differently for you?

I was asked to take care about it and so I created a support ticket but according to the support, this doesn't seem worthy for a support ticket but more like a feature request. (We are talking about a deprecated web browser.)

    Thank you for reaching out to the community, yes you are right irrespective of the default apps > web browser set with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox, the help section opens up with the Internet explorer. I just re-created and that is seems be the case as of now !
