Sophos XGS Email protection missing bulk

Hi all,

In Sophos Central, there is an option to block bulk email, but there seems to be none in the email protection in the XGS.

So I guess there is no way to block bulk emails if I have just the email protections in the XGS ?

    What is bulk email and what distinguishes it from spam?

    Sophos classifies mail as bulk for networks that send only bulk email, or are detected by heuristic rules to have characteristics of bulk mail. This includes:

    • known senders that only distribute solicited bulk email
    • those that send a mix of solicited and unsolicited bulk email

    These types of messages are generally for a legitimate product or service and as such are categorized as bulk instead of spam. If you are seeing significant amounts of unwanted email from what appears to be legitimate email service providers, consider enabling bulk detection for those affected in your organization.
