Sophos XG - Wan Port through switch

I have a Sophos XG. The Port2 is directly connected to ISP equipment. Everything works fine.

But, when I connect the Port2 of Sophos on a switch and the ISP equipment on same switch (the switch ports are both in same VLAN) it DOES NOT work

The IP address is directly on Sophos Port2. (no alias, no vlans, nothing).

I have this same issue on two differents costumers

Any ideas?

  • I have many WAN Switches deployed connected to Sophos' so it should not be a limitation. What Model XG and firmware are you running?

You can try going to Port 2 and change the Interface speed from Auto Negotiate to 1G Full or 100Mb Full. If you want to try Half Duplex, you'll need to move to a different port on the Sophos.

  • I have many wan switches depployed too. Many Sophos work well.... but, on these two differente costumers, I have this issue. I`ve tried to change the speed and negotiation, but no luck

The communication only occurs if I plug Sophos direclty to ISP device

    Costumer 1 - XG450 v19

    Costumer 2 - XG135 v18.5.4
