XGS Not Reading Attributes from AD

Hi,

I have active directory configured and it works. Users can log in to the user portal, vpn, and wifi. Yay!

But, the attributes for the display name and email do not pull over from the AD Server.

Example: The user logs in with username

The name appears in the user portal as username@domain.local.

Email in the user record is blank.

For the server configuration, I've only seen "mail" in examples for email. For the Display Name I've tried sAMAccountName, userPrincipalName, and displayName.

Whatever I put the name shows up as "username@domain.local" and the email is blank.

Not sure what I'm missing.

Thanks,

Jeff

  • Hello,

Adding to this, beside the Display name attribute and the email address attribute set in the XG Firewall for the Server, in your DC, you need to also fill out the email filed for the General information of the user.

When the user authenticates to the Firewall then the Firewall will fill in the email field or if it hasn't been set, then once you set it in the DC, and the user authenticates again then it’ll get populated.
