Sophos SFOS 19.x import of an exported E-Mail blacklist from SG (UTM)

Hi,

we are migrating al long running UTM firewall cluster to XGS SFOS 19.x cluster

Is there a way to import an exported blacklist of domains from the UTM into the XGS firewall --> E-Mail / General settings / blocked senders, instead of typing line for line...

Maybe is there a way via the console?

Thanks for your ideas / help

Regards

Barnabás

  • ok perfect thank you for fast help, so far so good but if I expand the config file with information the import always says the same message:

    Red color:

    The file you are trying to import is not a support file format.Only TAR file format is supported.

    I use notepad++, ein checked the syntax many times I downloaded an export from the fire wall used this file. I used totalcommander for tar(ing). Afterwards I downloaded 7ZIP. Always the same error. The only file I can re-import ist the tar archive I downloaded and never opened. Any ideas?
    I personaly use a MAC but did the whole conversion also on a Windows 10 VM no difference.

    Maybe the exportet header is not correct:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Configuration APIVersion="1900.1" IPS_CAT_VER="1">
    <MtaBlockedSenders transactionid="">
    <BlockedEmailAddresses>
    <EmailAddress>*@domainname.com</EmailAddress>
    </BlockedEmailAddresses>
    </MtaBlockedSenders>
    </Configuration>

  • Check the apiparser.log on the firewall /log/ for any issue.
