SD-RED 60 on XG not working

Hi All.

I'm using XG (ver 18) and currently have a few RED15's setup and working fine.

Just had a new SD-RED60 and I cant get it to connect up, do you set it up in the same way as you would a RED15 or different as its as SD-RED 60 ?

On the device it gets to the point of the Router, Internet and Tunnel LED go GREEN but the system goes RED then it reboots.  According to the manual this means "No configuration available or firmware update failed." not sure why as I configured it the same as I would a normal RED, any ideas ?

Thanks

  • The firmware in general is the same. So it looks like your SFOS Appliance had an issue with uploading the new configuration to the provisioning server.

You can try to get this debugging like this: https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000038614?language=en_US

  • Thanks for the reply.

I have now tried this new RED on 2 different XG's and get the same issue.

    Error in logs is

    Reading REDv2 key from STDIN:
    Reading REDv2 key from STDIN:
Fri Jun 10 11:44:05 2022Z REDD ERROR: server: Can not do SSL handshake on Socket accept from 'xx.xx.xx.xx': SSL accept attempt failed because of handshake problems
Fri Jun 10 11:44:07 2022Z REDD INFO: server: New connection from xx.xx.xx.xx with ID xxxxxxxxxx (cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384), rev1

Note XX used to replace my public IP address and masked RED ID code

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks, Duncan
