Publish Web proxy on public interface

Hi there,

we recently switched from the UTM to XGS and I wonder, if it is still possible to publish a web proxy service for users outside the organisation, that are not inside a VPN.

I did this with the UTM, when the non vpn (domain user) wanted to access the internet, a login screen appeared and the user had to enter domain credentials.

I guess the XGS doesn't support this because I can't activate the proxy in the zone "wan".

Any ideas and comments are highly appreciated.

Thanks

Marcel

  • Do not do this. Opening Web Proxy on both Platforms is highly dangerous. Therefore it was disabled per default on SFOS.

If you want to do Webfiltering, you can do it on a Endpoint Software (like Intercept X) or you do it via VPN. Intercept X is equipped to do this on HTTPS etc.
