EOL products

I have 1 x85 firewall and another xg105 that were purchased in 2019 and now that I went to renew I discovered that sophos announced the EOL of the equipment in 2019 and I can no longer renew the licenses, honestly I am outraged at sophos

Why wasn't I notified when purchasing the equipment?

  • Actually that is not correct. 

    Sophos uses a EoS and EoL Approach. Means you can purchase something until EoS (End of Sale) and at this point, the product is fully supported until EoL (End of Life).

    Likely you bought the product before August 2019. So the product was supported until 2022. 

    But i can understand the frustration, if this was not properly communicated to you, as Ian already stated, you should talk to your Reseller about this state. Because Sophos communicate this upfront.
