Route web traffic to a server with a VPN

I have a server with docker containers and vms, I would like to route all the traffic to another VM that will have a VPN client that routes all the web traffic through a service.

Any idea if I can achieve this with sophos XG? beside the changes in sophos XG how should be configure the VM with the VPN client? should it has a transparent proxy?

  • I don't really understand what you are asking here.

You say "routing", then start doing exactly this: setup a route through that other VM's IP address and that's it. What do you need the XG firewall for?

Or, this info was missing, do you have these systems in different network segments and the firewall is connecting these together?

  • To simplify the question, I could configure a proxy for docker https://docs.docker.com/network/proxy/ imagine that I can't do that and I want Sophos XG to get all that traffic coming from the dockers and send it to the proxy from Sophos XG. Is this possible?
