Sophos XG Backup could not be sent due to incorrect server configuration

Hi,

I have an issue with scheduled backups of my Sophos XG VM. When I try to make a backup I get the following error:

It also does not matter if I do a local backup or by mail. The error stays the same.

The current Firmaware: SFOS 18.5.3 MR-3-Build408

I have checked the forum and google already and found this post Cannot Upgrade or Backup - Discussions - Sophos Firewall - Sophos Community where the issue was to liitle disk space. Here this is not the case as I have 1% used on /var and enough space on the other mounts with a total of 90 GB of staorage.

In another post they had the issue that email was not working. However I get notifications from the firewall and the MTA is working as expected.

Does anyone has encountered the same and found a solution?

    Hi,

    I don't know how and why but after the 10th reboot or so it finally created the backup.

    Unfortunately I cannot tell what solved it. I will check over the weekend, if the backup is going through. But the last three where successful.

    Thanks to all, that have looked into it so far.

    Best to ya'll and have a great weekend.
