SSL VPN - DHCP Forward

I have an XGS2300 unit.

On my LAN I have DHCP server.

Can an SSL VPN be configured so that the VPN clients get their IP from the DHCP server on the LAN - thus putting them on the same network as LAN nodes?

  • [Changed my answer to the opposite.] The XGS can assign whatever IP addresses you want to VPN clients, so technically you could make outside DHCP servers and the XGS cooperate by handing out different ranges of host numbers within the same network. And maybe you could bridge the LAN and the VPN -- it hurts my head to think about it, but you can certainly bridge two ports in a non-VPN situation.

  • Haha, thanks for the effort.

I'm coming from the UTM ecosystem, and I was thinking of L2TP over IPSec.
