This is a simple question, but I couldn't find an answer. To run Sophos XG Firewall, the hardware requires 2 NICs. My hardware has 1 NIC, so can I simply insert an external network adapter (USB) as a second NIC? Logically speaking this should work, but before I start anything I would like to confirm.
To elaborate, I'm purchasing a mini PC to run the XG Firewall. This PC only has a single NIC, so I'm trying a workaround. This PC will be hooked up to a switch with a connected access point. Finally, this switch connects to the router. This is at least the plan.
