  • Hi,

please check the logviewer system tab, you might find that there are a number of failures and one successful. On my many XGs I have built and used I always see rejected DHCP requests, bu the device making the request does eventually revenue an IP address.

  • Hi ,

thank you for your replay ,

but in my case there are no successful to get ip address , all the request are failing

i don't have any rules to bloque the MAC address .

    Thank you

    Best Regards

  • Check the number of addresses is not exceeding the size of your dhcp allocation.Ian

  • Hi,

what is connected between your PC and the XG? If it is a switch, try reseting it.

  • Yes , i Have a Switch between the PC and the Firewall , i will try to reboot it .

  • I reboot the Switch but nothing has happened , the firewall keeps to bloc the MAC address .

  • Hi,

looking at the error message, which did not display well on my screen previously, you appear to have a fixed temporary  IP address, the IP address which sends the request should be 0.0.0.0. It is not the MAC address that is being rejected but the but the 169.254.x.x address that is being rejected. You either need to check the configuration of the device or reboot it to refresh the address especially if it is windows device. Windows devices do not automatically refresh their IP address.
