Sophos XG "blocks" webtraffic without any internet policy in place

Hi all,

I have a Sophos XG (18.5.2) Sophos XG that "blocks" webtraffic/downloads sometimes.

The Inside Out rule (Access) is without any internet policy in place and no security feature is enabled.

Web browsing and file download is fine in general but...

As an example the Microsoft Office Update file will not download. No error/warning in Sophos logfile but Download simply does not start.

In Front of PC is a AVM Fritzbox as DSL Router. connecting the PC directly to the Router download starts without any problem.

So problem MUST BE in sophos. But where?

Any hints?

    I hope you have kept the Source IP base firewall rule on TOP ? and the download is not working?

    What is the status of DNS is getting resolved on the firewall under Configure --->Network -->DNS  Test name lookup?

    Have you changed the mss value of the WAN interface and checked ?

    console> set network mtu-mss PortB mtu default mss 1380
