Sophos XG 115: Expected throughput?

I just installed an XG 115 Rev 2 at a site and am starting configuration. After a factory reset and minimal setup, it is consistently getting 310 Mbps down and 45 Mbps up on on their cable modem https://omegle.onl/ https://vshare.onl/. The previous Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4 was getting 720 down and 50 up. The ISP is providing 1 Gbps down and 50 up.

Does this throughput sound correct for an XG 115? They have very few (<5) users, but want do want to approach 1 Mbps down, which they are paying for. Is another model a better choice for this site?

  • How minimal is your 'minimal' configuration? XG 115 Rev 2 is a pretty old model. Spec sheet says raw firewall performance is 3,500 Mbps but that will take a very swift dive once you start to use any useful features.

As an example, my XG 230 Rev 2 is rated for 32,000 Mbps firewall only but maxes out at about 750 Mbps with IPS, IDS etc. (2-3 users only).
