Unexpected reboots XG125

Besides unexpected reboots we had several crashes, disconnected WAN-Lines (we have 3) with our XG125. Sophos is not able to fix anything!!! They  let time lapse away and close the ticket. But nothing was fixed. Before closing the ticket they phone me and let the bell ring 3 times (~ 3 seconds!!) and hang up. This is not the 1st time that I had such a insolence call. Seems they do so  they can say then "I have phoned the client".

Boefore my client switched to Sophos I had several pfsense running.  I know what is going on on the commandline-level (OpenWRT)- The 1st Leve Support did not understand anything what I tell them what I detected in /log.

We pay for the support and get nothing.I can only warn to pay for the support, or better: use another firewall.

  • .. so, what does that mean:

[1289032.458283] Kernel panic - not syncing: Out of memory: compulsory panic_on_oom is enabled

    ??

That was the unexpected reboot at 8:10

  • I do not know, what this means. One Process could potentially cause a kernel panic. You could try V19.0 GA to get the latest release if this fixes your issue.

  • Out of Memory is Out of Memory.

We have a support contract and my question is: are there any supporters? Obviously not. Nobody replies on my ticket. The Sophos policy seems to be: 1. change case from critical down, 2. wait 6 weeks and close the ticket..

The GA19 is announced on 2 of our XG86 (I installed them), but not on the other 8 XG86 and not on the XG125 which has the error for OVER 6 MONTH now !!!

  • When multiple hosts connect to different interfaces of a device and a host sends many broadcast packets visit this company to the other hosts, isolate the interface connected to the host from other interfaces unidirectionally. Then the other hosts do not receive packets from the host.
