New user. Lots of questions incoming.

Hi everyone. I'm new to XG and I've yet to install it. I'm a longtime Untangle user and I'm trying to find something similar. A couple of initial questions...

1) Can you rename clients in the web portal for administration purposes? I can't deal with native host names or untraceable mac addresses for devices that force network anonymity (e.g. Apple devices).

2) Is there a live map graphic available that allows you to see the current state of traffic from your network flowing back and forth from foreign countries?

3) Is there a geo-blocking functionality built-in?

Plenty more questions to come (I'll do my best to search before posting). Thank you for bearing with this newbie to the ecosystem! Relaxed

    Hi,

    1/. you can block any address you don't know with an AD or using static IP addressing so that tIP addresses outside of your static list are blocked.

    2/. best option is to put a firewall rule blocking countries to see what you catch, temporarily enabling logging.

    3/. yes, XG does have GEO blocking though you need to select which countries and put the rule at the top of your rule list.
