Cellular WAN SSL VPN??

Hi Community.

So I have 2 questions. Both overlap, so answering one may do the other. I have a client with a Cellular WAN as their only WAN connection.

1. How do I expose the User Portal via the Cellular WAN connection?

The internal IP and external IPs differ. I cannot ping or access anything via the outside IP.

2. How can I setup an SSL VPN via the Cellular WAN connection

The VPN is setup correctly, When using the connection method it connects via the internal IP shown above and not the external IP.

Any help would be greatly appreciate. Happy to provide more details.

Thanks.

  • Hello!

You cannot expose the SSLVPN or the User Portal since the Cellular WAN connection is giving you a private IPv4 over CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT).

If you want expose those services you first will need to contact the current Cellular WAN provider and ask them for a static IPv4 address. (Most of them they won't offer one, but It depends on what country or service you currently have.)

    Thanks!
