Migrating all SSL VPN account objects and credentials

Good morning Sophos forum!

My company currently has over 100 SSL VPN accounts on an XG18 platform and is upgrading to a larger model XG. One thing we do not want to do is have users sign in one by one into the user portal to recreate user certificates.

We would like to export all SSL VPN assets from the current XG to the new one so all that needs to be done is edit the servers IP address in the config file. Is this possible through the import/export tool with master key set?

I would need to export: 1. the device default certificate 2. all user certificates 3. user accounts including passwords 4. SSL Profile 5. SSL Authentication configuration.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

  • Using Sophos Connect will bypass those needs. If you role out the Sophos Connect .pro File, the connect client will simply download the new configuration file for you. You do not have to worry about "new configuration files" etc.
