Sophos Connect Config not Persistent Between Users?

I am currently working on getting new laptops deployed for all of our users and seem to have run into a small issue with Sophos Connect.

Is the configuration that gets imported into Sophos Connect supposed to be persistent between users? I am currently installing Sophos Connect and putting the configuration file in the "import" folder with a script that runs once the device comes online in our RMM. If I log in to an admin account to do some final setup I am able to see the VPN config already ready to go with the "connect" button. If I sign in with another user and open up Sophos Connect I am being asked to import a configuration file again. What is even more bizarre is if I go back to the original account after doing this, it too is now asking for a new config to be imported.

I figured since the config is placed on the C: drive with Sophos Connect install that this config stayed between users but that does not seem to be the case. Is there some other way to do this so that all users are getting the config without needing to interact?

  • it looks like the imported config is just per user .
But the "migration script" provided by one great admin (i think), stores the "old" config within "c:\!VPN" folder and end user have to click the config file within this folder only.
Possible, the provisioning file makes things more simple.
